Through this partnership, Accelerated's athletic trainers and physical therapists will assist in the prevention, treatment, and clinical rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Accelerated's staff members will attend the Soul practices and games, providing on-site injury evaluations, immediate care, as well as valuable guidance on stretching and injury prevention. Accelerated staff members will also be present in an Accelerated booth at every home game, offering free injury evaluations and fun giveaways.
In the Soul's 16th game of its inaugural season, Accelerated will participate in a more expanded capacity. The home game, January 18, 2013, at 7:30 p.m., against the Milwaukee Wave, is Misericordia Night. Misericordia is an organization that offers a continuum of care to meet the diverse needs of persons with mild to profound developmental disabilities, many of whom are also physically challenged. Together with the Chicago Soul, Accelerated will present Misericordia with a donation check. In addition, Dave Franklin, Accelerated COO, will be interviewed in a live radio broadcast during halftime.
