A lifetime of watching great films inspired him to make some of America's greatest films. Now he's bringing you into his world to share his insights into the history of film and filmmaking.

With a career that spans more than fifty years, Scorsese is one of the most influential and revered filmmakers working today. In 1990, he started The Film Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to film preservation and restoration. The Foundation's preservation, education, and exhibition programs have helped raise awareness about the importance of film preservation, and in the process has saved over 750 films.
