A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts Expands Teacher Discount Program
BERLIN, N.J., May 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Just in time for National Teacher's Day on May 8, A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts (www.acmoore.com), has expanded its teacher appreciation program by increasing its discount to 15% off all items, including sale merchandise.
To further extend teachers' buying power, the discount can be used in conjunction with most coupons and special sales, as well. To receive the teacher discount, educators and school administrators must show their current school ID at time of purchase at any of the company's 135 stores serving the East Coast. Gift cards, custom framing and classes may not be purchased via this program.
According to a 2010 study by the National School Supply and Equipment Association, teachers spent $1.33 billion out of their own pocket to equip their classrooms with supplies. On average, teachers surveyed said they spent a total of $398 of their own money on school supplies.
For additional savings and discounts, educators can also join A.C. Moore's Rewards loyalty program. For more info, visit www.acmooreRewards.com.
