A.C. Moore Announces Free Family Fun Every Wednesday This Summer

BERLIN, N.J., June 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts (NASDAQ: ACMR)  has announced a summer-long schedule of free "Make & Take" arts and crafts activities for children ages 2 – 12, from June 1 through August 31. All 135 A.C. Moore stores (www.acmoore.com) will offer the free activities, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m., each Wednesday, through the end of the summer.

A recent survey of 1,000 Americans by TNS Worldwide for A.C. Moore revealed that 63% of Americans reported that finding activities that don't cost a lot of money was a top concern this summer.

"We wanted to give parents and kids an oasis to get creative, exercise their crafting skills and have fun," said Robin Beam, A.C. Moore's director of education.  "All of the free projects are designed to encourage imagination and let kids be kids.  Best of all, the activities are free!"
