Absolute Total Care and Pee Dee Community Action Partnership to Host Rise Above the Storm Community Empowerment Event

MARION, S.C., April 1, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Absolute Total Care and Pee Dee Community Action Partnership (PDCAP) will host a Rise Above the Storm Community Empowerment Event on Saturday, April 13. The event aims to inspire families that were impacted by Hurricanes Matthew (2016) and Florence (2018) in Marion County.

Marion County citizens still face many challenges. For those who lost everything the recovery is often long-term and difficult.  This event will provide a forum to inspire hope, provide resources, and encourage solutions to help citizens recover and move towards stabilization and growth. 

Refreshments will be provided to event attendees and local agencies will be on-hand to provide resources and referrals to appropriate services for families.

The keynote speaker for the event is Mrs. Jennifer Pinckney, chair of the Clementa C. Pinckney Foundation, and widow of the late South Carolina Senator Clementa C. Pinckney.

Local organizations are invited to provide resource tables and resources at this event. PDCAP requests that all participants pre-register as space is limited and tickets will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
