ABMS Appoints Jennifer J. Fronek, CPA, Vice President, Finance
CHICAGO, Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), a leading organization that oversees the standards for physician Board Certification and the program for Maintenance of Certification (ABMS MOC®) in the United States, has named Jennifer J. Fronek, CPA its Vice President, Finance.
In this role, Ms. Fronek will serve as ABMS's strategic financial lead, working in partnership with the ABMS Leadership Team, Board of Directors and other key stakeholders, to ensure that ABMS's financial plans are aligned to support its strategic goals and long-term plans.
Ms. Fronek brings to ABMS a wealth of financial, strategic, leadership and audit experience, in both the non-profit and corporate business sectors. Her career has encompassed a wide range of organizations from traditional non-profits to publically traded companies and public accounting firms. Most recently Ms. Fronek served as the Vice President, Finance for the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, Inc. where she advised executive and senior leadership on financial planning, risk management, policy compliance and investment priorities while managing the organization's operating budget and financial reporting.
Ms. Fronek's career includes positions at Ernst & Young, LLP in the Chicago office and Tellabs, Inc. in Naperville, Illinois. Additionally, her prior non-profit experience includes temporary positions at Donors Forum of Chicago and the American Planning Association and Board service at Literacy DuPage. She is a graduate of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accountancy and Computer Science and is a Certified Public Accountant.
