Able Moving & Storage First Mover Ever to Make Washington Business Journal's "Fastest Growing Companies List"
Region's fastest growing moving company recognized at publication's annual dinner in a year where the list was "exceptionally difficult to qualify for," says Washington Business Journal's VP Local Market James MacGregor.
MANASSAS, Va., Nov. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Recognition for rapid growth in the nation's dynamic, tech-focused capital by the Washington Business Journal (WBJ) is a huge achievement for Able, and the company's leadership is quick to recognize who and what made it happen.
"Preservation of our family-style culture will always be the second priority for us," says Able CEO Joe Singleton, "right behind safeguarding the belongings of our customers."
Singleton firmly believes these core values are responsible for the 500% company growth over the last six years that just landed Able on the extremely competitive list, and their achievement has been acknowledged widely.
"Having just recognized Able with our 'Independent Mover of the Year' award, we are very aware of their growth and congratulate them on another milestone achievement," says Scott Michael, President & CEO of the American Moving and Storage Association.
WBJ Editor-in-Chief Doug Fruehling states, "We are pleased to welcome Able Moving & Storage to our Fastest Growing Companies List. Diversification amongst this list represents the region's broad spectrum of success extremely well."
Able is pairing their recent gains with strategic planning that is paving the way for future growth in a way that the whole leadership team is extremely pleased with. "We have always reinvested in our company's infrastructure," says company President Jim Singleton, "and the sheer amount of growth we are going through has made this an extremely welcome necessity."
Able recently kicked off its "You2 Movement," a complete overhaul of traditional mission, vision, and values rhetoric, recognizing outstanding behavior among its employees with a medallion that will soon crest everything the company utilizes, including its trucks. They just became part of a nationwide few that have invested in RFID tracking to better serve their corporate clients. They just finished a new building on their 12 acre Manassas Headquarters, purchased land for another build-to-suit in the works, and still had to lease an additional project nearby to accommodate growth in its commercial divisions. The company is about ready to announce a local acquisition, looking at more, and they are definitely hiring.
"Making the Journal's Fastest Growing Companies List is more meaningful to us than many of the other lists out there," says President Singleton, "because we know the Journal audits the financials to ensure the integrity of the list."
Able was especially pleased to celebrate its recognition from WBJ at the List's annual dinner since the company actually moved WBJ's Washington DC Headquarters last year.
Able Chief Operating Officer Steve Kuhn enjoyed the event and noted that "Not only was it great chance to meet more of the WBJ leadership, it was also an outstanding opportunity to meet and talk with executives at the other 74 companies we look forward to moving soon."
