As Chief Technology Officer, Richard Smith is responsible for generating and coordinating the technology roadmap and for the creation and delivery of mission critical customer facing technology solutions to our customers. Smith has nearly 25 years of technology execution and leadership experience, across many industries and most recently at De La Rue as the head of R&D for the Solutions division which created highly secure financial tracking software used by commercial and central banks around the world.
Prior to working in De La Rue, Smith led technology teams in Motorola as part of the government solutions group, which designed, developed and delivered large scale data and technology solutions for 911 emergency and police services to local, state and national agencies. Smith earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Dublin Institute of Technology in Ireland.
