League of Women Voters and Numerous Community Organizations to Join Forces with ABC 7 Chicago in Unprecedented Partnership
CHICAGO, Dec. 21, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- ABC 7, Chicago's most watched television station and the premier broadcaster of countless state and county debates for more than two decades, will air a mayoral candidate debate moderated by ABC 7 anchor/reporter Ron Magers, Thursday, February 17 at 7:00 pm. The hour-long, commercial free debate will be broadcast live, from Broadway in Chicago's historic Oriental Theatre. It will also be streamed on abc7chicago.com and broadcast on Univision Chicago (time tba).
Many key Chicago community organizations have come together to serve as co-partners for the debate, at present to include, Chicago Foundation for Women, Chicago Loop Alliance, Chicago Urban League, Metropolitan Planning Council, League of Chicago Theatres, League of Women Voters, Mikva Challenge, National Council of La Raza and Univision Chicago.
