AARP Launches New Spanish-Language YouTube Channel
Lineup features renowned chef Denisse Oller
WASHINGTON, May 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AARP announces the launch of its first Spanish-language YouTube channel, AARP en Espanol. The channel offers Hispanic AARP members content created specifically with them in mind. Journalist-turned-chef Denisse Oller leads the channel lineup in her weekly series, Secretos de Cocina con Denisse.
For the past three years, the Puerto Rican chef has been an AARP go-to food expert, cooking up luscious Latin specialties and interviewing top Hispanic chefs for www.aarp.org/espanol. Now she shares her culinary tips, nuggets of wisdom and recipes from her cocina latina, helping viewers enter the kitchen with confidence and become better cooks. Denisse's secretos will breathe new life into the hundreds of Latin-inspired recipes she has shared on www.aarp.org/denisse.
"Our existing Spanish-language videos have garnered thousands of hits. Launching this new YouTube channel allows our audience to have a better user experience, while inspiring them to pursue real possibilities," said Gabriela Zabalúa-Goddard, AARP vice president of AARP en Espanol.
Secretos de Cocina con Denisse marks just the beginning of AARP's offerings en espanol on YouTube. Future programming in development will help viewers discover new and different ways they can reimagine their lives, include interviews with celebrities and trend-setters, and provide information on personal finance, health and AARP member benefits.
