Staten Island's 50+ population often times feel forgotten in major NYC races – they have a unique set of concerns compared to other boroughs that they are looking for the candidates to address. They are more concerned about being able to pay property taxes and utility bills, report heavy traffic, streets that need repair and poor public transportation as a major concern at a much higher rate, and say they'll delay retirement for financial reasons more than their counterparts in other boroughs. |
