AARP Congratulates Haws on Appt to Lead Idaho Commission on Aging
Statement by Jim Wordelman, State Director, AARP Idaho
BOISE, Idaho, June 27, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AARP Idaho congratulates Sam Haws on her recent appointment by Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter to serve as administrator of the Idaho Commission on Aging (ICOA).
The challenges facing older Idahoans are many these days, as pensions disappear and retirement savings dwindle, the cost of healthcare, prescription drugs and the basics, such as utilities, continue to soar. Gem State residents are increasingly in need of resources and guidance to ensure they age with the dignity and respect they deserve.
AARP looks forward to working with Haws to address the needs and concerns of Idaho's growing elderly population.
AARP is Idaho's largest membership organization with over 180,000 members.
