AARP Brings Unique Experience to Philadelphia Flower Show
From Augmented Reality to an Interactive Photo Booth, AARP Surprises and Delights
PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AARP is excited to bring its Block Party, a traveling exhibit that engages attendees with interactive experiences, back to the Philadelphia Flower Show this March. In addition to four interactive features, including augmented reality, an interactive photo booth and a prize wheel, AARP is making a $5,000 charitable donation to the William Way LGBT Community Center.
William Way was selected because it shatters stereotypes about aging, challenges outdated beliefs and sparks new solutions that help the LGBT community in the Greater Philadelphia region choose how we live as we age.
WHAT: AARP Block Party will offer four interactive features:
- Augmented Reality Experience – This activation is an enhanced version of reality where the attendees will use an iPad to view and interact with 3D computer images of an animated game aimed at a wall of the exhibit.
- Social Media Art Mosaic – In this fun and interactive photo activation, attendees will create an artistic mosaic with photos that are converted into stickers. Attendees will also learn more about social media and AARP's presence on various social media channels and be able to share their photo on their own social media channels.
- Wishing Well – Make a wish! For every AARP coin tossed into our Wishing Well, a donation will be made to the William Way LGBT Community Center.* The specially designed coins were created for the Philadelphia Flower Show and are free to all participants.
- Prize Wheel – Visitors will get a chance to spin a prize wheel for various prizes.
