MONUMENT, Colo., July 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Advisors Asset Management (AAM) has added two experienced fixed income traders to its capital markets group. Christopher M. Brigati has joined AAM as Head of Municipal Trading, and Joseph Polverino has come aboard as a Senior Trader. Their arrival follows the appointment of another fixed income veteran, John Radtke, as Executive Vice President of Capital Markets and Capital Market Sales earlier this year.
"Chris and Joe possess extensive fixed income expertise which will be critical as we continue to build out our capital markets team and service offerings," said Scott Colyer, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of AAM. "Our expanded capital markets group better positions us to provide the innovative products and insightful commentary that advisors need to meet their clients' ever-evolving needs."
Mr. Brigati has 22 years of experience in the fixed income arena. Prior to joining AAM, he served as Managing Director and Head of Municipal Trading at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management for eight years. Under Mr. Brigati's leadership, revenues for Morgan Stanley's municipal trading business increased substantially. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Finance from the State University of New York at Albany.
Mr. Polverino, who has worked in the fixed income space for 12 years, was most recently Senior Vice President of Municipal Trading at Sterne Agee. He also served as Senior Director of Municipal Trading at Oppenheimer & Co. for nearly a decade. Mr. Polverino graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
"AAM is well-known in the financial services industry for its commitment to delivering customized products and solutions for advisors, and I am glad to join its ranks," said Mr. Brigati. "Advisors and investors are understandably concerned about the looming increase in interest rates, but AAM's growing roster of experienced fixed income professionals can help advisors and their clients effectively navigate changes in market conditions."
