AAM Announces Plans for New Aftermarket Distribution Center for Latin America
DETROIT, July 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings, Inc. (AAM) today announced that it will establish a new aftermarket distribution center in Silao, Mexico to service its growing network of dedicated distributors throughout Latin America.
The 44,000-square-foot distribution center will be located in the FIPASI Industrial Park, the site of AAM's Guanajuato Manufacturing Complex.
It is anticipated that the facility will launch operation in the fall of 2011. Ricardo Valdes, aftermarket manager – Latin America, will be responsible for the operation of the distribution center.
