AACSB Announces Four Schools--with the First in Nigeria--to Earn International Accreditation

TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AACSB International (AACSB) announced today that the Brunel Business School at Brunel University London (United Kingdom), Drake University (United States), Governors State University (United States), and Lagos Business School (Nigeria) have earned accreditation in business.

Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. Through today's ratification, a total of 779 institutions across 53 countries and territories—a growth of one country, Nigeria—have earned AACSB Accreditation in business. Similarly, 185 institutions maintain an additional specialized AACSB Accreditation for their accounting programs.
