WASHINGTON, Nov. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AACC, a global scientific and medical professional organization dedicated to better health through laboratory medicine, is pleased to announce that Bradley Pine has been named vice president of education and meetings, effective today.
Prior to joining AACC, Pine served as vice president of education and meetings at the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), where he led and managed the society's annual meeting and continuing education programming for cardiovascular health professionals. Before SCAI, he served as senior vice president of Rockpointe Corporation, a continuing medical education company. At Rockpointe, Pine guided the firm through a high growth period, during which its annual revenue nearly tripled, and delivered approximately 450 live and online education programs per year to an audience of more than 50,000 healthcare professionals.
In his role at AACC, Pine will oversee AACC's conferences and educational offerings, which help laboratory medicine professionals stay up-to-date on the latest research and technology in the field and provide essential answers so patients get the care they need. These offerings include the AACC Annual Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo, the leading event for laboratory medicine worldwide. AACC's upcoming annual meeting will take place next year in Philadelphia, July 31–August 4.
"Mr. Pine has a strong background in medical education and association management, with more than 16 years of senior-level education and meetings experience in both the non-profit and for-profit arenas," said AACC CEO Janet B. Kreizman. "We are confident that he will be a valuable asset in AACC's effort to provide its members with high-quality educational resources that enable them to flourish in their careers and provide better health through laboratory medicine."
"It is an honor to be selected to serve as AACC's vice president of education and meetings," said Mr. Pine. "I look forward to working with AACC staff and leadership to deliver the clinically-relevant education that members need in order to keep up with the changing healthcare environment and discover new adaptive solutions to challenging patient health problems."
