A10 Networks 64-bit Application Delivery Controllers Receive Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Certification
AX Series Hardware Appliances and SoftAX Virtual Appliance Deliver Load Balancing, High Availability and Enhanced Security while Ensuring Low Latency
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- A10 Networks™, the technology leader in Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs), today announced that its 64-bit AX Series hardware appliances and 64-bit SoftAX virtual appliances achieved Microsoft Lync Server 2010 certification. The AX Series solutions are a complete line of true 64-bit server load balancers, both hardware- and software-based, certified by Microsoft and published on its Lync Server 2010 Load Balancer Deployment web page (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/lync/gg269419).
64-bit AX Series Platform and Low Latency for Lync Server 2010
Lync Server 2010 is a 64-bit enterprise application deployed on 64-bit servers. The 64-bit AX Series platforms are recognized as exceptional application delivery solutions for the Microsoft community, winning Best of TechEd 2010 in the networking category for market leading innovation, deep application fluency, and for breaking the 4 GB memory limitation inherent in all 32-bit systems, thereby increasing application performance with unprecedented scalability.
The 64-bit AX Series (both appliances and SoftAX) optimize Lync operations and eliminate downtime with complete load balancing and high availability support for Lync Server 2010. Lower latency NAT and high performance ensure VoIP jitter and performance issues are avoided for Lync Server 2010 users despite any hostile network conditions. The AX Series appliances include superior, all-inclusive hardware and software options for additional reliability with solid-state drives (SSD) offered on all models, and security capabilities for all Lync Server 2010 services. For ease-of-use, the AX Series graphical user interface (GUI) includes application-aware templates for rapid deployment of enterprise applications.
AX Virtualization with Application Delivery Partitions (ADPs) support multiple Microsoft applications (including Lync, Exchange and SharePoint) on a single AX Series appliance with separate administrative and resource partitions, lowering the cost of application delivery and reducing networking device sprawl.
In addition, the AX Series is dual-stack ready, ensuring the maximum flexibility with IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, enabling both native support and the most advanced IPv4/IPv6 translation capabilities. All additional AX Series features available to complement Lync Server 2010 deployments are offered within each AX solution without extra licensing fees, including aFleX Layer 7 traffic scripting, aXAPI (RESTful XML management API) and more.
"A10 is again showing further commitment to Microsoft's latest products with our Lync Server 2010 certification, as with our Exchange Server 2010 certification, providing innovative and advanced application delivery solutions to the Microsoft community," said Lee Chen, Founder and CEO of A10 Networks. "With Lync Server 2010 certification for our award-winning AX Series, customers worldwide can be confident they will receive low latency, additional performance and scalability for their business critical Microsoft applications."
