a-tune software, Inc. announces technology partnership with California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona)
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jan. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- a-tune software, Inc., a leading software solution provider to the medical research community on a global basis, announces a technology partnership with Cal Poly Pomona.
Commitment to Technology Expansion
Cal Poly Pomona has chosen the tick@lab software application as the primary tool for administration of the Institutional Review Board at the university. This application will assist with increased efficiency and quality of data collection used to ensure the safety of the human subjects. It will mitigate additional risk utilizing audit trailing capabilities to ensure appropriate process and procedure mandated by the university. Mr. Bruce W. Kennedy, Compliance Associate (ACUC & IRB) states "the selection of a technology partner is critical to our success." Bruce goes on to say "with the increase of both human and animal studies here, the amount of oversight and compliance required by the regulatory agencies can be daunting. Without the use of technology to help administer these programs, it would certainly increase the time to approve and manage the studies. By using the tick@lab solution we intend on reducing compliance risk, time, and also the cost to administer the research efforts here at Cal Poly Pomona. We believe it will make it easier for PIs, too." Mr. Andreas Staubi, President and CEO of a-tune software, Inc. states: "Research facilities are under considerable pressure to meet the demands of regulatory agencies around the world. They are required to increase their productivity while maintaining programs that must remain compliant with these agencies. What is amazing, this is expected during a time where they are faced with reduced financial and human resources. The only way I can see to attack these problems and achieve desired results is with technology."
