Annual cultural festival welcomes world-renowned Icelandic chef to Dahlia Lounge and emerging Icelandic and Seattle musicians to Neumos
SEATTLE, Oct. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Thursday, October 10th marks the return of A Taste of Iceland to Seattle. This annual four-day celebration of Icelandic food, music and culture gives Seattle-area residents a taste of what life is like in a Nordic country more than 3,600 miles away. While Iceland may seem a world away, Icelandair offers direct flights from SeaTac to Reykjavik, making the two "Sister Cities" closer than ever. But before heading off to Iceland's capital city, Seattleites can enjoy authentic new Nordic cuisine in their own backyard at Dahlia Lounge, and experience a one-of-a-kind, cross-cultural musical showcase as top artists from Iceland and Seattle take the stage together at Neumos on Saturday October 12th.

Award-winning guest chef Thrainn Freyr Vigfusson of Iceland's famed Blue Lagoon and chef Brock Johnson, executive chef of Dahlia Lounge, offer diners a culinary tour of Iceland with a prix fixe Icelandic menu featuring fresh ingredients such as wild caught cod, free-range lamb and Icelandic skyr sourced directly from Iceland.
