Annual cultural festival welcomes acclaimed Icelandic chef to Coohills and celebrated Icelandic and Denver musicians to 3 Kings Tavern
DENVER, Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Thursday, September 26 marks the beginning of the second annual A Taste of Iceland festival. This four-day celebration of Icelandic food, music and culture, gives Denver-area residents the opportunity to experience what life is like in a Nordic country more than 3,600 miles away. Denver residents are invited to explore Icelandic cuisine and assemble craft cocktails at Coohills, and experience a one-of-a-kind, cross-cultural musical showcase as emerging artists from Iceland and Denver take the stage together at 3 Kings Tavern on Saturday, September 28th.

Award-winning guest chef Thrainn Freyr Vigfusson of LAVA Restaurant at Iceland's famed Blue Lagoon and chef Tom Coohill offer diners a culinary tour of Iceland with a prix fixe Icelandic menu featuring fresh ingredients such as arctic char, fresh langoustine and free-range lamb sourced directly from Iceland. The four-course Icelandic menu will be offered for $65 with the option to add an additional course and wine pairings for $95.
