PARIS, March 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jean Reno, Franka Potente, Julian Fellowes, Elle Macpherson, Geraldine Somerville, Toby Jones, Celia Imrie, Deena Nicole Cortese, Vinny Guadagnino, Nikki Griffin and Tiffany Brouwer are just some of the stars who will be attending MIPTV 2012, which runs 1-4 April in Cannes.
The red carpet will be rolled out in front of the Martinez Hotel to welcome the stars and VIP guests at the MIPTV Opening Party on Sunday 1 April from 7.30pm, and for the International Digital Emmy® Awards ceremony which begins at 8.30pm.
International star and French actor Jean Reno (Ronin, Leon The Professionnal, Da Vinci Code) is coming to MIPTV with a new international series presented by Atlantique Productions (a Lagardere Entertainment company), in partnership with TF1 and distributor SevenOne International. Created by Rene Balcer (Law & Order – Criminal Intent)and shot in Paris, this ambitious project marks Reno's television debut as the lead of an international series, which will be fully revealed during a press conference on Sunday 1 April at MIPTV.
Harry Potter's mother Geraldine Somerville (Harry Potter films, Gosford Park), Celia Imrie (Bridget Jones's Diary, Nanny McPhee), Toby Jones (W., Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), and Glen Blackhall (Jump, Echoes) all star in ITV Studios Global Entertainment's eagerly-awaited international mini-series Titanic, presented at MIPTV's Gala Screening on Sunday 1 April and marking the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the ship. The cast members will be joined by Titanic scriptwriter Julian Fellowes, who won an Oscar for Gosford Park (2001) and an Emmy Award for Downton Abbey (2010), and producers Chris Thompson (Love Actually, Carrington) and Simon Vaughan (Parade's End, Coco Chanel) from Lookout Point.

Jason Bourne's lover Franka Potente (Jason Bourne films, Run Lola Run), Tom Weston-Jones (The Night Watch, MI-5), and executive producer Christina Wayne (Mad Men, The Prisoner) will attend MIPTV for the launch of Cineflix Studios' new gripping crime series Copper. Set in 1860's New York City, the series will air in the summer of 2012 on BBC America and in the fall on Shaw Media's Showcase in Canada.
Legendary former top-model Elle Macpherson will attend MIPTV as the executive producer and host of Electus' new TV show Fashion Star which debuted in March on NBC. In order to build the world's next major fashion brands, Electus and 5x5 Media have partnered with Magical Elves and the Global Fashion Association to bring together undiscovered designers and top retailers and produce the first reality competition show in the fashion sector.
Popular TV icons Deena Nicole Cortese and Vinny Guadagnino will make it to Cannes as MTV's hit series Jersey Shore's fifth season premiered internationally in March. The world famous series follows the lives of eight housemates as they navigate their relationships and everyday adventures with trademark hilarity, fist-pumping and family dysfunction.

Montreal chef and Food Network and Cooking Channel host Chuck Hughes is invited to Cannes by Beyond Distribution to present his new programmes Chuck's Week Off: Mexico and Chuckmas to international audiences.
American documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) will host a special lunch on Sunday 1 April with FremantleMedia, Panini Media is bringing XII Tribes Entertainment's new drama series Signs at MIPTV, presented by actress Yse Brisson and producer Michel Zgarka, and Miss World 2011 Ivian Sarcos will grace the red carpet with her sublime presence.
