MIAMI, Aug. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- A Little Hope Foundation is pleased to announce it has established the University Scholarship Fund to help disadvantaged and underrepresented students who seek their dream of earning a degree from a qualified university.
"Our goal at a Little Hope Foundation is to provide an equal opportunity for all children to have the tools and capabilities to fulfill their life goals and to be constructive members of our global community. We believe their aspirations should be limited to their own imagination of what is possible, their effort and commitment, and desire to contribute. It's our experience that post-secondary education is key to their future employment and their future well-being," said Louis Hernandez Jr., founder of A Little Hope Foundation.
Hernandez, managing member and founder of Black Dragon Capital, is son of minority parents who instilled in him the importance of a love for education, hard work, family and community. He followed these four pillars and reached success in his own life as an entrepreneur and author. In 2012, he established A Little Hope Foundation to find ways to position underprivileged youth to triumph over their own circumstances through education, healthcare, the arts and leadership development initiatives.
"I've worked with Louis on a variety of business and charitable activities over the years," said Robert E. Davis, partner at Blum Shapiro. "His tireless dedication of time, money and energy to helping those in need has been an inspiration. The same intensity that has made him a successful businessperson is what makes him so unique in his charitable efforts. He doesn't stop until we help people directly."
A Little Hope Foundation and its principals have funded children's hospitals, science centers, Junior Achievement, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, education foundations, and sports leadership development organizations.
A Little Hope Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the needs of underrepresented and underprivileged children through education, healthcare, the arts, and youth leadership development. Our initiatives provide equal opportunity for all children to have the tools and opportunities to fulfill their life goals and become constructive members of our global community.
