A-List Selects Joshua Maa, Founder and CEO of Madhouse
SHANGHAI, May 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Joshua Maa, Founder and CEO of Madhouse was recently selected by China's Digital A-List and rewarded as one of the 100 most influential people in the country's digital business.
Held by Campaign magazine, China's Digital A-List is an annual award that honors people and brands that lead digital innovations in China market. This year's A-List winners are categorized in three sections as Digital Entrepreneurs, Digital Stars and Hall of Fame.
Digital Entrepreneurs category in which Joshua is selected implies "a place to find people who have impressed the industry with their digital acumen and have brought innovative ideas to build new companies in this new digital economy."
The organizers also mentioned that they are quite strict and selective with this award category. "We are only selecting the names that have come on the scene very recently and where the founder is still at the helm and the company hasn't been bought up or merged into a bigger entity," they stated.
Joshua founded the leading mobile ad platform company Madhouse in 2006. It is one of the few companies in China that focuses on mobile ad technologies and provides mobile marketing solutions to advertisers. In the past decade, Madhouse has been developing innovative ad solutions and keeping ahead in the business.
In 2012, when most of its counterparts were still fighting to grab domestic market shares, Joshua learned that mobile Internet has no border and that Madhouse has to step out and go abroad. The only way to strengthen the company's competiveness is to co-operate and compete with overseas companies.
Madhouse went international and entered India, becoming the only mobile ad platform company from China which had expanded its business in the Asia Pacific Region. Today, Madhouse has become the one of the most well-known companies in the mobile ad business for brand advertisers in India.
Joshua also believes that a healthy and sustainable mobile ad industry relies on standardized benchmarks and certain agreements from the business participants. He introduced Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) to China and became the co-founder of MMA China. Joshua was elected as Chairman of MMA China Mobile Ad Standards and Measurement Guidelines Committee by over 100 member companies.
MMA China Mobile Ad Standards and Measurement Guidelines Committee has been joined by renowned third-party tracking companies like AdMaster, Miao Zhen, CTR, Nelson and DoubleClick. It also includes Youku Tudou, iqiyi, Isobar, InMobi, Coca Cola and more than 60 other member companies.
Madhouse led by Joshua joined hands with advertisers, agencies, third-party tracking companies and other participants in the mobile Internet business to discuss, plan, draft guidelines and standards for China's mobile marketing industry. Meanwhile, it is also trying to bring MMA to India under able guidance of Joshua and work with other Indian peers to standardize the local market.
As the chairman of MMA China Mobile Ad Standards and Measurement Guidelines Committee, Joshua has worked with several member companies to issue a number of mobile ad guidelines. Among the many Industry guidelines, Mobile Application Advertising API Measurement Guidelines suggested by MMA China was adopted by MMA Global.
In addition, Joshua also helped the committee establish partnership with China's Digital Marketing and Industry Association, further promoting the measurement and guidelines with Alibaba, JD, Baidu and Blue Focus.
