Boston orthopaedic surgeon to serve fundraising arm of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society
ROSEMONT, Ill., Dec. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation, the fundraising arm of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS), is proud to announce that A. Holly Johnson, MD, of Boston, Massachusetts, has joined its Board of Directors as a member-at-large.

Dr. Johnson is an orthopaedic surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. A graduate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Dr. Johnson completed her residency in orthopaedic surgery and a foot and ankle fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
In 2010 and 2016, Dr. Johnson participated in the AOFAS Overseas Outreach Project to Vietnam, supported by The Foundation. Dr. Johnson and other AOFAS volunteer surgeons visited underserved areas of Vietnam to provide evaluations and corrective surgery for patients with lower extremity deformities and disabilities.
Dr. Johnson is the fellowship director for the Harvard-MGH Foot and Ankle Fellowship Program and serves on the Hospital for Special Surgery Board of Advisors. She also is a member of the MGH Global Disaster Response Team and volunteers her time as a mentor for women in medicine.
