National Prosthodontics Awareness Week, April 7-13, is intended to deliver a message of hope for people who are missing teeth and raise awareness of the importance of maintaining a healthy smile. The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) has organized National Prosthodontics Awareness Week (NPAW) to bring attention to this dental specialty and how these specialists can help patients. From April 7-13, prosthodontists around the country, and world, will be celebrating NPAW to promote good oral health habits and highlight the importance of maintaining a healthy smile. 

A smile compromised by missing or damaged teeth can affect mental health by negatively impacting an individual's confidence, job prospects, and self-worth. If left untreated multiple missing teeth can negatively impact physical health, leading to an increased risk for obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
