A Grape New Future: Welch's Selects Selerant and Implements DevEX Product Lifecycle Management
NEW YORK, June 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Selerant (http://www.selerant.com) announced today that it has entered into agreement with Welch's (http://www.welchs.com) to implement DevEX Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software solution.
"We are implementing a full integration of our recipe development and specification management, which will allow us to create new products faster, while still ensuring their high level of nutrition, quality, and safety," states Judy Zaunbrecher Welch's R&D/CQA Vice President. "We selected Selerant to not only increase efficiency, but to further expand upon Welch's dedication to focus on healthy alternatives for consumers."
Welch's Farmer's Pick products contain no high fructose corn syrups, preservatives, or artificial flavors and colors. "DevEX PLM will allow Welch's to safely expedite high-quality products to market, ensuring all compliance and safety standards," states Sunil Thomas, Selerant COO North America. "Better yet, Welch's will have greater visibility throughout each lifecycle stage. This includes visibility to product standards, requirements, compliance issues, and labeling."
DevEX's modules include: Product Development, Regulatory Compliance, Product Data Management, and Innovation Process Management. Additional services and software include EcodEX (ecodesign LCA) and Regulatory Scientific Affairs (RSA). DevEX will integrate the modules with each other as well as its legacy systems.
According to a recent customer survey, more than half of all DevEX customers saw improvement of 40% or more for visibility, usability, quality assurance, specifications, and formulation speed. (See image for Source information).
