A Chicago Beer Launch Party Just in Time for St. Patrick's Day

CHICAGO, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel is hosting a pre-St. Paddy's Day event, releasing a new hotel-made beer served with traditional Irish fare. On March 16 from 4:30–7:00 p.m., event attendees can sample the new Downstate Maple Stout paired with mini lamb Sheppard's Pie and the Rooftop Honey Wheat paired with corned beef and cabbage sliders.

The new beer is made with the typical oats, barley and hops, but the real secret is the Chicago Marriott's culinary team's maple syrup. The Chicago, IL hotel taps Illinois maple trees and then cooks the maple over a hard wood fire, providing the beer with a slightly sweet finish. In addition to the new Downstate Maple Stout, the lobby event will feature the hotel's homemade Rooftop Honey Wheat beer, a creation made with the help of the beehive on the hotel's roof.

The event will take place in the hotel's lobby, located at 540 North Michigan Avenue, from 4:30–7:00 p.m. Guests must purchase a wristband for $10.
