99 Cents Only Stores Appoints Jack L. Sinclair As Chief Merchandising Officer

CITY OF COMMERCE, Calif., July 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- 99 Cents Only Stores LLC announced today that Jack L. Sinclair has been appointed as Chief Merchandising Officer, effective today. Mr. Sinclair will be responsible for the merchandising and marketing functions for 99 Cents Only.

Mr. Sinclair brings more than 30 years of deep experience to 99 Cents Only Stores, specifically in grocery retail at both North American and European retailers. Most recently, he was with Walmart Stores, Inc. where he served for more than seven years as an Executive Vice President of its U.S. Grocery Division. Mr. Sinclair led the team that was responsible for Walmart's grocery business, which generated substantial growth through a focus on local assortment and fresh foods. In addition, Mr. Sinclair spent 14 years at U.K.-based Safeway PLC supermarkets where he served in a variety of roles, eventually becoming Group Marketing and Trading Director, in which he ran all store operations and merchandising for the U.K.'s third largest grocer.
