SEATTLE, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Tableau Software, the global leader in fast analytics and data visualization software, is hosting more than 700 business intelligence professionals at its third annual Customer Conference this week, confirming that rapid-fire business intelligence is bursting through the floodgates of analytics trends. "The conference has become the analytics conference of the summer, advancing Tableau's reputation as an up-and-coming BI powerhouse with deep industry insights," said Christian Chabot, CEO and co-founder of Tableau Software. "We picked speakers and breakout sessions to challenge the way people think about data."
Taking place at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Seattle from August 30 to September 2, more than 700 attendees are gathering to network with peers and to participate in visualization and analytics workshops. In addition to offering in-depth training with Tableau's products, the conference offers hands-on sessions using Tableau 6.0. Tableau 6.0 promises to compete against industry heavyweights when it is launched later this year. Attendees will be the first to experience the enhanced speed and analytics capabilities of the "enlightened" approach to business intelligence.
Showing a 106 percent increase over the same period last year, Tableau has achieved record sales in 21 of the last 22 quarters and is one of the fastest growing software companies in the country. Tableau plans to hire 100 people in the next 12 months.
Ken Rudin, General Manager of Analytics for Zynga, a leading provider of social games, recently said, "Analytics are core to our business. Tableau Software was the ideal choice for a number of reasons; it's powerful, highly interactive, easy to integrate into our existing infrastructure and makes it much easier to identify actionable insights and share them throughout the company." Zynga is among the attendees at the conference.
The four-day event boasts more than 15 speakers who commented on industry trends and new developments in business analytics. Steven Dubner, author of Freakanomics and SuperFreakanomics, will deliver one of the event's keynote addresses. Other keynote speakers include Garr Reynolds, author of the popular book and presentation blog Presentation Zen; and Stephen Few, founder and principal of Perceptual Edge and 20-year business intelligence industry veteran.
