65th BetterInvesting National Convention, May 19-22 in Washington, D.C., Focuses on Common-Sense Investment Education on Stocks, Portfolio Management and More
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich., April 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Next month the 65th annual BetterInvesting National Convention will bring its message that anyone can become a successful investor to the Washington, D.C., suburb of Chantilly, Va. During the May 19-22 event, Main Street investors will learn time-tested strategies for building wealth and unbiased information about investing from BetterInvesting's dedicated volunteers.
"The volunteers who provide the education are entirely focused on empowering individuals to make informed investment choices by employing BetterInvesting's principles," says event chairman Henry Gold. "Attendees can choose among dozens of sessions that meet their experience levels and interests."
The convention, which will be at the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles, offers more than 60 sessions on a variety of investing topics, including growing a portfolio employing dividend stocks; finding small-company equities; effectively allocating stocks, bonds and cash in your portfolio; and estimating future growth rates and valuations. The event is rounded out by panel discussions on stock selection and a live portfolio analysis. A beginners track is offered as well.

On Saturday, May 21, the public is invited to attend a free day of investment education that includes a keynote presentation by Bob Pugh, CFA, CFP. In his presentation, "Reading the Tea Leaves: Making Sense of Economists, Politicians and the Federal Reserve," the president and founder of Insight Wealth Management of Gainesville, Va., will discuss valuations in key markets, economic trends and global economic-political concerns, including this year's presidential election. On Saturday he'll also participate in a panel discussion on investing with BetterInvesting CEO Kamie Zaracki and Chris Versace, chief investment officer of Tematica Research.
Attendees can also see a live portfolio review, a panel discussion of stock study candidates and corporate presentations, and they can visit the Expo Hall.
