55 companies introduce what comes next in gadgets, gear to 1,000 journalists at record-breaking ShowStoppers® press event at IFA in Berlin
BERLIN, Sept. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Breaking all records, 55 industry leaders, innovators and startups introduced what comes next in consumer electronics and home appliances to approximately 1,000 journalists attending ShowStoppers® @ IFA 2014, the seventh-annual edition of the Official Press Event of IFA, the global tradeshow that moves markets and inspires buyers.
"This year, 3Doodler became the most popular 3D printing device on the market, selling more than 100,000 units worldwide. To announce such a milestone at ShowStoppers gave us the chance to meet with some of the world's leading press, and get the news out there in the fastest and most effective way for a startup," said Daniel Cowen, Co-Founder, 3Doodler.
"Pound for pound, ShowStoppers puts more reporters in the room with more brands than any conference event I've been a part of. It's a no-brainer," said John Procter, Executive Vice President, McBee Strategic, the public relations agency for GN ReSound.
"We've exhibited at ShowStoppers events in the U.S. for several years. This is our first event at IFA in Berlin. The event was first-rate. The turnout was tremendous and more than exceeded our expectations. ShowStoppers gives us the opportunity to not only showcase our amazing robots like MiP, but also to introduce new innovations in consumer products to a new audience of press we are meeting for the first time," said Dave Malacrida, PR & Media Relations for WowWee.
"We get to brief a huge audience of high calibre target journalists just before IFA begins. ShowStoppers is the best place for us to launch exciting products, such as the Backbeat Pro," said Stuart Bradshaw, Europe and Asia Consumer Manager at Plantronics.
"We are regular attendees of Showstoppers but this year by far exceeded all the previous ones. The whole event was so well put together with an interesting mix of innovative products and a massive amount of relevant outlets. In only three hours we were able to shake hands with all the journalists from the top tech titles worldwide, meet old friends and get a bunch of new contacts and leads to follow up on. Launching our new product, the Urbanears Plattan ADV headphone, at ShowStoppers, felt like the right thing to do and it turned out to be a huge success. It felt like we were speaking to an audience the whole time and the three hours went by in the blink of an eye," said Paula Thelin, Communications Manager for Urbanears Headphones.
