50,000feet Wins Sappi Ideas that Matter Grant to Raise Awareness of Global Health Nonprofit
Peace Care to Kick Off Development Initiative with Sappi Award
CHICAGO, Oct. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Creative agency 50,000feet has been awarded a 2015 Sappi Ideas that Matter grant to develop a communications toolkit for Peace Care, a global health nonprofit that connects underserved communities with sustainable, quality health care. The $50,000 grant will enable 50,000feet to elevate Peace Care's visibility and extend its reach among potential donors, partner organizations and volunteers through accessible brand communications.
Helping create a world where quality health care is available to all, Peace Care has implemented successful programs across the Caribbean and Africa and continues to grow in scale and scope. "We are sincerely grateful to 50,000feet for our close and enduring partnership and for having provided highly formative identity and branding support throughout our development as an organization. The potential growth opportunities the Sappi award will provide are significant and timely as we scale our model of engagement," noted Peace Care Executive Director Andrew Dykens, MD, MPH. "Thank you, 50,000feet and Sappi, for working with us to increase our meaningful impact."
"It's an honor for our team to be recognized for the work we've done with Peace Care but even more rewarding to have the opportunity to reinforce the enduring links that Peace Care creates. Thanks to Sappi, our efforts can now be extended to reach a much larger audience," said Tracy West, Creative Director at 50,000feet.
In its 16th year, the Sappi Ideas that Matter grant program has funded more than 500 nonprofit projects, contributing more than $12.5 million to causes that use design as a positive force in society. The program is open to designers who partner with a nonprofit organization and whose proposal is ready for implementation.
Peace Care is currently in the midst of a fundraising drive organized by CaringCrowd, a Johnson & Johnson initiative aimed at supporting global health concerns. With the goal of raising $40,000, Peace Care will be able to train additional health workers on the ground in Senegal to deliver cervical cancer screening. To learn more about the organization, the recent Sappi grant and the fundraising initiative, listen to Andrew Dykens' September 29, 2015, interview on WBEZ's Worldview with Jerome McDonnell.
