"Two Stanley Cups and two goals in 17 seconds prove that Anything's Possible. As of today, the Lottery is adding 500 more prizes to our first ever 4th of July Millionaire Raffle. Tickets are $10 and they're available at all of our 8,200 retailers throughout the state. All profits generated by this raffle game will benefit Illinois schools or help build roads and bridges. I wonder if the Blackhawks jerseys or the million dollar grand prize will attract more new raffle players," said Michael Jones, a long time Blackhawks fan and Superintendent of the Illinois Lottery.
The 4th of July Millionaire Raffle was launched on Memorial Day and set out to award 1776 prizes ranging from $1,000,000 to $100 through four early bird drawings in June and the Grand Prize Drawing on July 5. So far the Lottery has awarded four (4) $500,000, 40 $10,000 and 4,000 $100 prizes in June to current ticket holders. The addition of 500 Blackhawks jerseys brings the total number of winning raffle prizes for the final drawing to 2,276. All tickets sold since May 27th will be eligible for the added Blackhawks jersey prizes. 4th of July Millionaire Raffle tickets will be on sale until 2:00 AM July 5th or until they sell out. Just prior to the announcement of the added authentic Blackhawks game jerseys, over 600,000 raffle tickets have already been sold.
Winning raffle numbers will be posted on the Illinois Lottery's website after each drawing. Raffle players can also stay on top of weekly winning numbers and get reminders and results notifications delivered to their cellular phone by texting "Raffles" to 4-6-7-8-6 (Mobile carrier fee may apply).
