4Discovery to Assume Service of CyberControls, LLC Clients
CHICAGO, July 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Chicago-based computer forensics advisory firm 4Discovery announced today they will immediately assume exclusive service to CyberControls, LLC clients. CyberControls is a Barrington, IL based competitor.
CyberControls, one of the earliest independent computer forensics and electronic discovery firms in the Chicago area, was founded by Robert Guinaugh in 2003. Guinaugh is scheduled to retire.
"We are extremely excited to merge the CyberControls operation into our firm," said Jeffrey Hartman, a 4Discovery co-founder and partner. "I have known Robert as an extremely well-qualified and professional competitor for over 10 years," added Hartman, "and he has always been an important contributor and thought-leader in the computer forensics community. We look forward to serving his impressive list of clients."
In addition to serving the Chicago legal profession, CyberControls has established a national client base, and is also known for their popular electronic industry newsletter and whitepaper library. "Robert has done a great job of establishing a following with relevant and insightful newsletter content over the years," said Hartman, "and we intend to continue that tradition by expanding our 4Discovery Client Advisories to include the many thousands of CyberControls legacy subscribers."
"It gives me great satisfaction in knowing that my clients will be served by the very capable team at 4Discovery," said Robert Guinaugh, CyberControls founder. "I have had tremendous respect for Jeff and his team for over a decade, and my clients will appreciate the additional resources and skills that 4Discovery can bring to their engagements."
Wolfgang Wilke, CyberControls Senior Director of Operations, will also join 4Discovery, and will lead the integration team as the two firms merge their operations.
