BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Dec. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Alabama-based premier sales and marketing company 45 Inc. recently raised funds through a walk and basketball tournament to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, a nonprofit that advances research to end Alzheimer's and dementia while providing care for those living with the disease.

Premier sales and marketing company 45 Inc. raised funds for the Alzheimer's Association during the Walk to End Alzheimer's and by hosting a basketball tournament recently in Birmingham.

The team at 45 Inc. participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's at Birmingham's Railroad Park. They also held a three-on-three basketball tournament at the Mountain Brook YMCA. More than 25 basketball enthusiasts from the office and community formed teams to take part in the tournament, with all proceeds – more than $500 – going to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

"Watching both of my grandmothers suffer from Alzheimer's and lose a lifetime of memories was sad," said Wrinardo McKennedy, President of 45 Inc. "Their struggle inspired our team to raise money for important research. Also, many of our team members are former athletes, so this tournament and walk gave us the opportunity to play basketball, a sport we love, for a good cause," added McKennedy.
