4 Receive CalCPA Women to Watch Awards Recognizing Service, Contributions to CPA Profession
LOS ANGELES, April 25, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The California Society of CPAs (CalCPA) honored four CPAs today with its Women to Watch Awards for 2014 during ceremonies at the Women's Leadership Forum at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza.
Gail H. Anikouchine and Shannan Gardner received the awards in the experienced leader category. Anikouchine is an audit partner at MacFarlane, Faletti & Co., Santa Barbara. Shannan Gardner is a tax partner in the Orange County office of Moss Adams.
Receiving awards in the emerging leaders category were Tayiika Dennis and Jameson Montanio. Dennis is a senior manager at NSBN, Beverly Hills. Montanio is a partner in training at Winningham Becker & Co., Woodland Hills.
CalCPA selected the experienced and emerging leader recipients in partnership with the American Institute of CPAs and the AICPA's Women's Initiatives Executive Committee.
Criteria for both the emerging leader and experienced leader categories included community or public service. Candidates for the emerging leader award also were evaluated on their demonstration of leadership, contributions to the profession, creation and implementation of unique initiatives and involvement with educational institutions.
Additional criteria for the experienced leader category included authorship of articles, contributions to the CPA profession and mentorship of other professionals.
