Masayuki Karahashi Named New Senior Vice President of Engineering
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- 3VR, the video intelligence company, today announced that Masayuki Karahashi has been named senior vice president of engineering. Karahashi will lead the entire engineering department, including the development, quality assurance, professional services and support functions for 3VR.
Karahashi, who most recently was vice president of development for Oracle, brings a wealth of enterprise software experience to 3VR. He has developed products that are delivered as both licensed software and software as a service (SaaS).
"In today's age of big data, video is the next frontier," Karahashi said. "Businesses of all sizes are deploying more and more video cameras, accumulating billions of hours of video every day. Yet, organizations are unable to tap the vast wealth of information being captured by video. I look forward to enabling 3VR customers to make the most of their video assets to better understand and serve customers, improve business intelligence and protect assets against losses."
Karahashi has also held senior product development roles at Siebel Systems, Promptu and Informix.
"Masayuki brings a wide array of engineering expertise to the 3VR team," 3VR CEO Al Shipp said. "As 3VR continues its evolution and develops solutions that expand beyond traditional security applications, Masayuki will be ensuring that our product portfolio meets the needs of our customers."
