CULVER CITY, Calif., May 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- 3net, the joint venture 24/7 3D network from Sony, Discovery and IMAX will premiere an unprecedented number of original, native 3D programs throughout June, it was announced today by Tom Cosgrove, President and CEO of 3net. The historic rollout will feature all-new episodes of signature 3net originals across a wide variety of genres, including natural history, culture, adventure and entertainment, among others.

3net's June programming schedule will focus on key general entertainment genres most compelling in 3D. The nature and animal series AFRICAN WILD and FEEDING TIME bring viewers up close like never before into the natural habits and habitats of the world's most interesting creatures; the action/adventure series HIGH OCTANE and LIVE FIRE take adrenaline to a new level, bringing viewers along for the wildest rides and most intense military training possible; CHINA REVEALED and JEWELS OF THE WORLD add a spectacular new dimension to the world's most mysterious and fascinating locations; BUILDING THE BRAND and EXPERIENCE 3D offer an immersive look behind the scenes of the world's biggest brands and most dynamic experiences and locations; and IN THE QUBE brings viewers the very latest on what's new and news in 3D.
Theme nights include "Wild Wednesdays," featuring new premieres of animal and wildlife adventures, as well as "Adrenaline Thursdays," with the best of action and adventure original programming. Since the network's launch on February 13 (DIRECTV channel 107), 3net has debuted an unprecedented number of original native 3D series. 3net will feature the most extensive library of native 3D content in the world by the end of 2011.
