"USANA works endlessly to develop safe and effective products, and to have these athletes trust their health to USANA is a testament of our hard work," said USANA Chief Communications Officer Dan Macgua. "We wish all of our USANA athletes successful seasons as they prepare for their impending competitions."
The USSA will kick off its season November 15, as members of the organization head to Vail, Colo., for the Nature Valley First Tracks event, while the USS and Speed Skating Canada long-track teams will take to the ice at the Can-Am International event in Calgary, Canada, the same day.
"I feel really strong going into the season," said member of the 2012-13 Long Track World Cup Team, Brittany Bowe. "I had a great summer of training, a team that has really pushed me and cutting edge nutrition that has kept me healthy and has given me the fuel I need to get through my workouts. I am excited for the start of the season and looking forward to build on last years World Cup season in hopes of standing on the podium."
Heading into a World Cup season, the historical WSJ-USA team looks to defend its current No. 1 ranking as they hit the slopes in Lillehammer, Norway on November 24.
"There's definitely a lot of pressure to go into a World Champs season with the globe from last year, but that's what makes it exciting," said 2012 World Cup champion ski jumper, Sarah Hendrickson. "I feel great though, and I am hopeful that I will experience another fun and successful season."
Other USANA-sponsored winter teams and athletes include members of the Korean National and Short Track Speed Skating teams, U.S. skeleton racer Kimber Gabryszak, Biathlon Canada, Cross Country Canada, USA Luge, the United Kingdom's only Winter Games team, Great Britain Short Track, and the currently undefeated ECHL Utah Grizzlies.
