"I still can't believe how many people across the world we have touched through this video," said Jennifer Blakeley, Founder and President of Alphabet Photography. "What's even more amazing is that compared to other high profile Flash Mobs produced by large corporations who spent thousands upon thousands of dollars producing their videos, our little grassroots effort has broken all records worldwide," added Blakeley.
Blakeley, Founder of AlphabetPhotography.com came up with the idea for the flash mob and organized a local choir of more than 80 singers who went from quietly blending into the busy mall atmosphere to belting out a Christmas classic to the shock and amazement of mallgoers. Seaway Mall's Food Court in Welland, Ontario, Canada acted as the backdrop. The Mall's food court is now labelled "The World's Most Famous Food Court".
The company has received more than 50,000 letters and emails from all over the world from people who have watched the video and have been touched in some way or another. Blakeley has been interviewed by some of the world's largest media outlets including CNN, ABC World News and The View. Blakeley was listed as one of Canada's top female entrepreneurs this year. Even royalty has acknowledged Blakeley and her world famous flash mob.
"Prince Charles approached our UK distributor back in April at a craft show and immediately recognized our company as the one responsible for producing the Christmas Food Court Flash Mob. When Royalty recognizes a video you've uploaded to Youtube, that's when you know you've done something right. We've made history. It's literally changed our lives. This little video is now a time honoured tradition," added Blakeley.
Today, the video is rated the #1 Most Viewed, Top Favourited and Top Rated Video of All-Time in the People & Blogs category.
