Themed Building A Better Tomorrow, Ecobuild Southeast Asia 2014 is designed to provide sustainable building solutions for over 620 million people across Southeast Asia. It is modelled after Ecobuild London, the world's largest event in sustainability of the built environment.
The event is held along with co-located events: GreenBuild Asia 2014, SolarAsia 2014, Ecolight Asia 2014, Construction Showcase, ASEAN Real Estate & Infrastructure Summit 2014, and Malaysian IBS International Exhibition (MIIE) 2014.
YB Datuk Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof, Minister of Works, Malaysia said, "Ecobuild Southeast Asia 2014 is an event that involves all industry players from across Southeast Asia and which I believe will help spur development in multiple sectors. It presents a unique platform for the exchange of ideas, making valuable contacts and increasing business opportunities overall."
Over 10,000 industry players including architects, building consultants, contractors, developers, engineers, factory owners and facility managers are expected to attend the event. MATRADE will also be organising business matching opportunities between international buyers with regional exhibitor companies on the show floor.
The event will be held in conjunction with International Construction Week (ICW) 2014 which covers the full spectrum of the construction industry across Malaysia and is the largest construction event in the country. ICW 2014 marks 13 years of bringing together industry experts and players under one roof to showcase, learn, build partnerships, network and share innovative ideas.
Over 65 different conferences and seminars will also be held in parallel to the exhibitions offering participants opportunities to gain insights into the rapidly changing landscape in the Southeast Asian market. 55 of the conferences and seminars are complimentary (free-to-attend) and interested participants can register at www.ecobuildsea.com.
Director Business Development ASEAN of UBM Asia, Eliane Van Doorn looks forward to the final turnout of the show, "We feel the level of expectation and interest towards the show is getting higher with each edition and we hope to enhance the Construction and Built businesses in Southeast Asia and open up new doors for overseas firms looking to invest in the Southeast Asian market. "
