2nd Annual Building Homes for Heroes® Central Florida Golf Classic Takes Place Sept. 25

The Outing Returns to Help Gift Homes to 35 Wounded Veterans

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Building Homes for Heroes^® is excited to announce the return of its Central Florida Golf Classic on Friday, Sept. 25, at Reunion Resort, 7593 Gathering Drive, Kissimmee, FL.

The event is an effort to raise funds to gift 35 houses in a single year to wounded veterans. Event organizer Building Homes for Heroes - one of the fastest growing veteran organizations in the nation - is dedicated to restoring the lives of the men and women who were injured while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan by providing them with mortgage-free homes. Houses are built from the ground up or customized to accommodate the needs of each veteran and his or her family.

"We've brought this event to Central Florida, not only because of its rich golf culture, but because so many of the homes we've gifted - and will gift - are here in Florida," said Andy Pujol, president and founder of Building Homes for Heroes. With many injured veterans in attendance, the golf outing will take place on the Watson Course - a signature course designed by golf icon Tom Watson for the Reunion Resort. Registration starts at 10 a.m. on Sept. 25, followed by the shotgun start at noon. Dinner and cocktails will be served at 5:30 p.m. Registration is ongoing for individual golfers and foursomes, as well as dinner-only attendees.
