SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- 280 CapMarkets® today announced the next major advancement in its fixed income trading and price discovery platform, BondNav® with the addition of corporate bonds.
"Since the launch of municipal bond trading on BondNav in January, we now serve a growing base of independent advisors, representing more than $100B in assets under management," said Gurinder S. Ahluwalia, Chief Executive Officer. "With this new taxable functionality on BondNav, we are pleased to help these advisors holistically meet the fixed income needs of their clients, while supporting their practice with an easy workflow and greater efficiency."
The expanded taxable offering on BondNav, which includes investment grade and high-yield corporate debt, is backed by the company's team of fixed income specialists, who bring decades of experience in trading all taxable products.
280 CapMarkets also announced the continued expansion of its taxable trading and institutional sales distribution capabilities, underscoring its commitment to support independent advisors and institutional clients with broad-based fixed income access and expertise.
Duane Erickson joins 280 CapMarkets as Managing Director of taxable institutional fixed income sales, bringing more than 25 years of experience to the team. Previously, he was with Cantor Fitzgerald, where he was a managing director of fixed income sales for 10 years. Prior to that, he was a managing director at RBC Capital Markets. His deep industry relationships and broad product knowledge are an asset as 280 CapMarkets continues to expand its taxable institutional distribution.
Mike Avery, Director Institutional Sales, has more than 15 years of experience selling taxable and tax-exempt bonds at major firms, such as RBC Capital Markets, Stone & Youngberg, and Stifel Nicolaus, where he covered Tier 1, Tier II money managers, hedge funds, and institutions.
Duane Erickson is based in Chicago and will establish 280 CapMarkets' office there. Mike Avery is based out of the company's San Francisco office.
280 CapMarkets provides a modern way for investment advisors to access, search, evaluate and trade a broad universe of bonds through its cloud-based platform, BondNav. This technology provides greater clarity into bond pricing and availability. It gives advisors visibility to a full range of bond offerings by issuer or series, along with historical trading data, so that they can confidently select the right bonds for their client at the right price.
