WASHINGTON, Nov. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- This Veterans Day, the National Restaurant Association is highlighting restaurants across America that are serving up discounts and promotions to thank those who serve and have served our nation in uniform.
In a newly released listicle, the Association is showcasing ways in which national and local restaurants are giving back to members of the military.
National Restaurant Association analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data shows that an estimated 66,000 restaurants are at least 50-percent owned by former members of our armed services and restaurants also employ more than 250,000 of our nation's veterans.
