25th China Wedding Expo Successfully Closes

SHANGHAI, March 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The 25th China-Shanghai International Wedding Photographic Equipment Exhibition & International Children's Photography, Theme Photography, Photo Album & Frame Exhibition (China Wedding Expo), the trendsetter for China's wedding photography industry, was held on February 24-27, 2014 at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre. The event, with a record exhibition space of 90,000 square meters, attracted more than 650 well-known exhibitors from both within China and around the world. More than 90,000 visitors from 40 countries and regions attended the four-day event, up 20 percent from a year earlier.

Covering every aspect of the wedding industry, this year's event featured nine themed showcase areas: bridal and evening dresses, wedding photo albums and frames, theme photography samples, children's photography, wedding planning services and accessories, cosmetics, photography equipment, studio stage sets and shop window design. The organizer also expanded into the upstream and downstream sectors of the wedding industry chain with the addition of wedding planning and customized travel arranging, in a move to create a one-stop platform for wedding trade and procurement. Leveraging the internet and new media, this year's expo launched an official WeChat account which regularly provides information about the event and an official mobile app with a Visitor Pre-Registration function. Visitor pre-registrations doubled while the combination of online and offline channels acted as an amplifier to the interactive marketing and promotion efforts.

This year's exhibition included lively summit forums and technique exchange symposiums, including an exhibition of the China Portrait Photography Society's works showcasing the society's greatest photo shoots over the past 30 years and the China Fashion Dress & Gown Development Forum -- the expo's first forum on "elegance in fashion" focusing on the development of a Chinese high-fashion dress and gown industry, where participants engaged in stimulating exchanges concerning the developments in China's fashionable evening ware and wedding photography sectors. In addition, the expo also hosted a wide variety of events, including the 2013 Business Services Portrait Photography Star Lecture Tour and the Large-scale Fashion Image Samples Conference.

Although the wedding industry has taken its lumps as a result of the global economic situation, competition among companies and even entire industries has become increasingly fierce. Accordingly, this year's expo has set itself out to aggressively assist companies adjust to the new realities and accelerate their transformation of their businesses, leading all of the industry players to offer a similar level of high quality services as distributors of a multiplicity of name-brand products.
