DALLAS, July 19, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) today announced the 23 community-based organizations that will receive $225,000 in 2016 Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds. Partnership grants are offered through FHLB Dallas member institutions to help fund the operational needs of community-based organizations involved in affordable housing and community development.
FHLB Dallas matches a member's cash contributions to a community-based organization of $500 up to $4,000 at a 3:1 ratio, which increased total 2016 funding to $321,200.
"The structure of many grant programs prevents nonprofits from using funds for operational or administrative purposes," said Greg Hettrick, FHLB Dallas first vice president and director of Community Investment. "We created the PGP to fill this need and support community-focused nonprofits at the operational level. The program aligns well with our members' missions of serving their communities."
This year's partnership grants were issued through 26 member institutions. Several nonprofit organizations received funding from multiple members.
Any FHLB Dallas member in good standing is eligible to participate in the program. Listed below are the 2016 PGP award recipients:
