DETROIT, Sept. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The 20th annual Shoot for a Cure fundraiser will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Troy Marriott.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Henry Ford Neuroscience Institute and the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center.
Guests at the event, "A Night to Remember," will enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a gourmet plated dinner, a live auction and live entertainment. Black tie is optional.
One lucky raffle winner will win a two-year lease on a beautiful 2012 Mercedes-Benz C300 4MATIC, courtesy of Prestige Automotive Group. A limited number of tickets are available at $100 each.
Honored at the event will be Mort and Brigitte Harris (Bloomfield Hills); Bill and Madge Berman (Franklin) and Dr. Mark and Gail Kelley (Bloomfield Hills) as well as a special recognition to Pam Rosenblum (West Bloomfield).
In addition, there will be a special tribute to past honorees many of whom will be attending.
Henry Ford Neuroscience Institute is one of the nation's leading centers for neurological diseases. Proceeds from this event help fund research in many disciplines, including neurological diseases, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and brain tumors.
The Hermelin Brain Tumor Center at Henry Ford has long been a national leader in research and treatment of advanced brain tumor therapies. The mission of the Center is to provide new hope, and to turn brain tumors into a chronic, controllable disease. The Center sees more than 700 new patients annually.
