2017 ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting Named One of the Fastest Growing Meetings in USA for Fifth Time
BETHESDA, Md., March 14, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Trade Show Executive Magazine has announced its annual Trade Show Fastest 50, the 50 fastest-growing trade shows held in 2017. The American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics will be honored as one of the fastest-growing trade shows during the Fastest 50 Awards & Summit on June 13-15 in Chicago, IL.
The ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting continues to grow year after year including attendee registration, exhibiting companies and submitted abstracts. The ACMG Meeting has been on the prestigious "Trade Show Executive's Fastest 50 List" (the fastest-growing trade shows) in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017. Winners are selected based on the highest percentage of growth in each of the following categories: net square feet of paid exhibit space, number of exhibiting companies and number of attendees. The 2017 ACMG Annual Meeting has been acknowledged among the Fastest 50 for the increase of exhibiting companies and total attendance growth. The average trade show in 2017 only grew 1.8% in net square feet of exhibit space, 0.3% in number of exhibiting companies and 0.5% in attendance. The ACMG 2017 Annual Meeting grew well above those benchmarks.
The ACMG will be represented at the Awards & Summit in Chicago, IL by Jane Dahlroth, CEM, CMP-HC, ACMG Director of Meetings and Exhibits.
"The growth that continues to propel the ACMG Meeting into the coveted Trade Show Executive Fastest 50 is an indication of the continued growth and importance of the field of genetics and genomics and a reflection of the hard work on the part of the ACMG staff and leadership," said Jane Dahlroth, CEM, CMP-HC, ACMG Director of Meetings and Exhibits upon receiving the award. "The Fastest 50 Summit always delivers a wealth of great information and ideas for show management professionals whose events have this prestigious designation," Dahlroth continued.
