CLEVELAND, Sept. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Moments ago, the Content Marketing Institute (CMI) held their annual Content Marketing Awards ceremony, announcing the big winners in their 2015 Content Marketing Awards. The Project of the Year, Agency of the Year (large and small agencies), and Content Marketer of the Year winners were announced at Content Marketing World, the largest content marketing event in the world with over 3,000 delegates in attendance at the ceremony.

CMI previously released award winners and finalists in 75 individual categories in late July. Finalists for the agency, project and content marketers of the year were honored at the event with a video recognizing their excellent work, with CMI Founder Joe Pulizzi presenting the winners with their awards. Over 1,200 entries were received for this year's awards.

The 2015 winners are:
Project of the Year: GSK Consumer Health's Excedrin content category (Agency: Weber Shandwick, New York, NY, USA)
Content Marketing Agency of the Year (100+ Employees): New Content, Sao Paulo, Brazil
Content Marketing Agency of the Year (1-99 Employees): King Content, Sydney, NSW, Australia
Content Marketer of the Year: Vishal Khanna, Director of Marketing and Business Development, Wake Forest Innovations, Winston-Salem, NC, USA
The Content Marketing Awards launched in 2004, with the agency and marketer of the year portions of the awards program initiated in 2012. It's now the largest content marketing awards program in the world.
Entrants were judged by an esteemed panel of leading content marketing industry influencers and experts in 75 categories, which covered every aspect of content marketing and recognized excellence in each element of editorial, design, production and management among digital, print, video, audio-visual, text and social media.
The 2016 Content Marketing Awards program will open in February 2016.
